RAG RUGGING

This is a traditional craft,
which has almost disappeared in recent years.

The process involves hooking scraps of fabric
into a hessian background to make
some exciting and colourful works of art.

Cushion covers, wall hangings, rugs, spectacle cases,
jewellery, bags, pictures, hats ~ all these can be created
using the rag work techniques.

A great way to
recycle old clothes and other fabrics.
