Raku is an exciting method of firing ceramics using copper glazes.

The bowls, traditionally Japanese tea bowls,
are taken from the kiln glowing red
and placed in leaves / sawdust to reduce the oxygen.

Plunging them directly into water completes
the process to produce
unpredictable and often amazing results.
